  1. word.

if I could give you 10 points I would

  2. Yes, and in fact I suggested that very name to Yahoo Answers for this section.

  3. It certainly should.

  4. maybe just "psycho-pseudo" would do......

  5. Since anything here can not apply The Scientific Method to their claims, absolutely!

  6. Only a person who is afraid of the unknown would call it pseudoscience. Just because you are not capable of understanding it does not make it false. It is opinions like your's that keep science stagnant. Science that is stagnant is not science, it is religion.

  7. Alternative, like paranormal, is just a post-modern way of saying "nonsense".  It's people keeping the appearance of an "open mind".  It's also a way to segregate the fake from the real.

  8. Maybe they should have called it alternative sciences/reality, or alternatives to science, or have a separate category for metaphysical and paranormal would be best.

  9. Oh, give them a break. Even the feeble minded need a place to express themselves.

  10. dammit, Bigfoot is REAL!

  11. I thought this was where we ran to hide from the skeptics...but LOOK WHO'S HERE !!!! DRAT!!!

    EDIT..FOUND THIS IN WIKI

    and pseudoscientific concepts

This is a list of fields of endeavor and concepts that have been regarded as pseudoscientific by:

       1. Organizations that are representative of the international scientific community, and/or

       2. Skeptical organizations.

They may have explicitly called a field or concept "pseudoscience" or used words to that effect: instances of the latter are identified in the references section. Also included are important concepts associated with the main entries, and concepts that, while notable, have not elicited commentary from mainstream scientific bodies. Notable parodies of pseudoscientific concepts are also included.

Some subjects in this list do have legitimate scientific research ongoing in them. They are included, however, in that a majority of the work being done in them (or having been done) is of a pseudoscientific nature. For instance, while many proposed explanations for hypnosis are pseudoscientific, the phenomenon is generally accepted as real and there are scientific explanations for it as well.

  12. Yes.  either it is science, or it isn't!

  13. To the best of my knowledge the American Association for the Advancement of Science (link below) has never granted affiliation to a pseudoscience organization. The Parapsychological Association (link below) has been an elected affiliate since 1969 so I guess Yahoo simply agrees with the largest organization dedicated to the advancement of science in the United States.

  14. I agree that this category should not be under the "science" section.
