Question:

Shouldn't we be thankful to the Russians for sorting the Georgia problem?

We always complain we are the world's police.

We have to sort the world's problems.

But this time - the problem happened on Russia's sidewalk - and they went and sorted it out quickly.

Why isn't that good???

  1. I don't recall the UK ever calling themselves the world police, I feel sorry for you if you think it's sorted, this is just the beginning Putin is an ugly dictator and a very dangerous man, watch this space.

  2. If you term it sorted, God help us all.

  3. you sound young so i will say go and look up the soviet union and the cold war cause that is where we are heading back to. russia needs to be put in a box. putin is a very dangerous man and needs to be watched very closely even though he is not the president anymore he is still in control, and he is k.g.b.

  4. NO! NO! NO! NO!

What is your problem? Russia is the problem..... they are the aggressors. invading a peaceful country... they just want to get the old soviet empire back Putin is former KGB and evil.

I don't understand you people.. Georgia at fault also?... Russia invaded them they had no business in Georgia..... OH sure they handed out Russian passports to everyone that wanted it  Then said we are protecting our people... That would be like we gave US passports to N.Ireland then invaded England to protect our people. GET REAL

  5. it is good

georgia invaded a peacefull country (that was formerly part of georgia but became independant ~18 years ago) and the russians saved the day, then went into georgia and took out there army so they ***** do it again, nice one russia

this is the same thing we did to iraq after they attacked kuwait in the 1st gulf war

  6. You could say that Georgia slapped Russia in the face..Now Russia has kicked them up the backside. Still though, Russia have gone too far. They are treating Georgia like their punchbag, to demonstrate their strength. With threats from the USA and France (Although with the mighty chocolate army of France, Russia only has the USA to worry about) Russia should pull out now.

  7. Richard, now look, Michigan has the largest Dutch-American, Finnish-American and Macedonian-American populations in the United States. So imagine Canada decided to bribe and give canadian passports to some dutch people in Michigan and sent his army to Ontario to be ready. This is the methods Hitler used, as if he was defending his citizens and he invaded many countries. As you invade many countries you become more powerful than before.

So what do you think, if Russia goes on "sorting problems", don't you think that Medvedev will "sort problems" in your country too? Probably you think that it will not happen because your country is much stronger than georgia. These are the same thoughts people thought about Hitler but he invaded many countries and became a real danger to the world.

  8. thats what im saying...georgians killed 1500 people...wtf!?!?!?!?!

  9. I am beginning to think, like you, that it may be good.  The sight of Russian tanks advancing brought back memories of the cold war and perhaps a degree of unjustified paranoia in Western Countries.  If Russian forces withdraw from Georgia proper but remain to police the breakaway regions whose populations want links with Russia I see it as no bad thing.  I can see their motivation to drive temporally into Georgia proper to destroy assets of the Georgian forces, force the Georgians into ceasefire and protect Russian forces from harm in a prolonged war.

  10. Yes. Actually, Saashkashvilli is an arrogantly dangerous man who miscalculated and made a dangerous political decision which put everyone's lives in danger.

  11. Because we're all worried about what could happen next. I mean I'm not even sure if the problem is solved yet. The Russians overreacted a little bit with the amount of troops they sent into Georgia and are slow at withdrawing.

Other than that, I do not think that this deserves a lot of attention from the rest of the world, and I do not think that USA and everyone else should call Russia the only aggressor.

Both Georgia and Russia are at fault in this case.

  12. Welcome Russia to join  the world police force. This will provide check and balance between Russian Bear and Uncle Sam.

  13. Thank you Russia for sorting out the murderous Georgia

  14. I wasn't even aware there was a "Georgia Problem" until the Russians invaded

There is a history of "problems" between Russia and Georgia - dating back some 300 years or so.  There is fault on both sides.

Funnily enough, some of these "problems" that start wars are only problems to one side initially!
