  1. These African nations aren't poor. China isn't poor. The Phillipinnes isn't poor. Their governments have plenty of money, but they refuse to spend it where it rightly belongs. Why should we wait for them to play catch up.

  2. Now there are some words of wisdom from a true economic gaint...not! Must live next to Wal-mart.

  3. I have never heard it stated like that and it's a great way of looking at it!!!!  I love it.

  4. No, free markets mean that we can buy whatever product that we choose. Competition makes products better. Some of the products that are made in the USA that I like to buy: Honda's. Then there are products that are made overseas like clothes that I buy because made in the USA is too expensive.

  5. Really a moot question since there isn't much made in America anymore.  We have to buy the cheap Chinese c**p because there is no choice.

  6. I wasn't aware Ethiopia had much of a product assembly line.... I'll just stop buying socks until they get their act together.

It's the other way around, we should all try and keep our money inside our own country.

Buy it for $20.00 Australian made, not 20c Made In China

  7. are you a complete MORON ???

Everything is already made in that S**t-hole china.  Everyone is buying cars made in japan or korea, American companies are already moving overseas.

You are a traitor and a brainwashed idiot.

  8. if the poorer country's catch up they will want everything that the developed country's have such as cars and OIL!! which in turn will push up prices for all food, construction, and transport industries which means goodbye to lower prices for you.

it also means its more country's that are competing for the planets limited natural resources, think about this EVERY war that has been fought through out history has been fought for resources.

so no thanks i dont want WW3 to happen

  9. I don't think you understand world economics.

There can never be equality with money, power, or anything else because people will never be satisfied with all being the same. Everyone will want to be the better one, they will want to advance themselves.

Many poor countries in the world aren't actually so poor--particularly many African countries. Granted, yes, the GNP of many industrialized countries far exceeds undeveloped countries, they still have a lot of money that could be put forth to enhancing their country and allowing them to raise in the ranks of the world. However, the intense levels of corruption at the government level (yes, even higher than in America or any other country) screws wealth distribution so the rich stay rich and the poor get enough to stay alive.

Giving countries more money will do nothing. They will not "catch up" from it.
