and taking care of a 4 year month old baby? How much can she care for that baby taking on this assignment? If she cares this little for her own new born baby how much is really going to care about us?

You are assuming that she isnt and that only a mother is a care giver.  I thought that the conservatives were the backward thinkers.  She has a husband.  Is he not allowed to care for their child as well?

I am a McCain supporter all the way but your question is interesting to me and my answer would be...Yes, I think she should be.

That has been my thought, especially since this baby is disabled.  The same would go for a man, by the way.  Now I am wondering, however, since the breaking news this afternoon that this might not be her own child but that of her pregnant daughter, who is "said" to be "5 months pregnant."  Could that be true?  If so, that's a different twist.  But, back to the original question, yes, I think this special needs infant needs both his parents intensely right now and will for years.

She should be bonding with a 4 month old baby. Your right that all politicians have kids but a 4 month old baby needs bonding with it's mother. Anybody that would not want to do that I have no respect for in any aspect of life. As a matter of fact I cannot imagine a mother not wanting to do this!! I guess I'm just getting old. How do you push family morals and then abandon ( vertually anyway) a brand new little 4month old baby. My wife didn't even let others hold our babies for more than a couple of minutes at a time without wanting them back in her arms. I like your question and it does address what kind of person she is.

If you've been watching the clips and looking at the pictures, you would know that she has been dragging the children along with her on her campaign.  But, you've brought up an interesting question for either a father or a mother who has a child with potential life/death issues on a recurring basis.  Why would McCain ask such a thing and why would a parent agree to such a thing?
