Shouting in my sleep?

I've recently been having dreams that cause me to physically shout out and/or wail. It's of course been waking up my partner, and is disturbing to me. Is there any way to cure this?

  1. Have a clear mind before you sleep.

  2. One thing that might help is sleep with a fan if you dont. Change your habbits. If you do sleep with a fan, try to sleep with louder of softer fan, change it up. The fan noise helps you concentrate on that, even while your sleeping. It may make you fall into a more stable sleep, keeping your dreams in your dreams and such.

I used to wake up by suddenly moving off the bed and ducking down. I didnt realize it (i was still asleep). Also, if someone woke me up, i would grab them and hold them still until i woke up all the way. Changing a something the atmosphere i sleep in (with the fan) helped dramatically. I still do it sometimes, but I have found if I switch the fan on low or use the cieling fan instead every once in a while, it keeps it in check. I learned this during a study when I took psychology after having acting up during sleeping.
