Show Court expected to give a solid account in Boyle Race at Roscommon
The bookies are likely to give Macbeth the highest odds, but K. J. Condon’s charge is a little risky after his moderate effort last twice. In such circumstances, the preference should be for Show Court, who has no stamina questions to answer. The D. K. Weld-trained
can make supporters rich in the Boyle Race, going down at Roscommon on Monday, September 3rd.
Show Court was sixth on his debut in April. In the hands of Pat Smullen, the 3-year-old showed no extra pace in the final moments and as a result, failed to make an impact. An unlucky defeat at start of the career did not dent his confidence though, as he
came up with a strong effort the following month.
He opened his account with an emphatic performance at Leopardstown. After establishing his dominance, he drew clear, and bagged the first prize by six and a half lengths in the Live At Leopardstown 3yo Maiden. The best part of Show Court’s easy win was that
he upset the 6-4 favourite, Allowed.
Owned by Kris Weld, the son of Vinnie Roe is returning to action after a break of nearly four months. He will be fresh and with no confidence issues, he is set to make things problematic for the rest of the crew.
The 1m4f meeting is scheduled to begin at 18:05 GMT. In search of a cash prize worth €7,590, five fast and furious runners, including Sow Court, will come out to the field. The going is yielding for the Boyle Race.
There are no doubts over Macbeth’s extraordinary racing skills, but he is currently going through a lean patch. After completing the order of finish at Curragh, the 3-year-old son of Acclamation could not raise his game and as a result, ended up fifth last
time.
Ebalviyra is of clear interest too. John Oxx’s 3-year-old made a winning debut, but lost rhythm afterwards. The bay filly was at bottom of the table last time.
Both Ebalviyra and Macbeth are out of form these days, thus Show Court seems to be the best option for betting. Good luck to all the runners.
