Show Flower favourite for Weatherseal Handicap
Show Flower is likely to win the Weatherseal Handicap at Ayr in England on Saturday, June 23, 2012. The winner of the class-4 event will be awarded a prize of £6,146.
The going will be good in the 6 furlong race, which has reeled in a total of eight runners.
Looking at the track conditions, it appears that, Show Flower has got a solid chance of fending off challenges, and bolt to the front in the early part of the race.
She has been delivering some excellent results over the past couple of events, and is carrying a nice momentum right now. She will definitely attract a lot of bets from the punters today.
The three-year-old filly has participated in nine races - winning a couple of them, and finished as a runner-up in as many times. Moreover, she has also secured the third spot thrice, which means that she finished out of the money a couple of times.
Mick Channon’s trainee is on a two-race win streak, and she is exiting a victory in her last race. The runner was expected to struggle in her most recent run, as it was a class-3 event. However, she surprised one and all in the end - winning it by half-length.
If Show Flower manages to win today, she will complete a hat-trick of victories, which will give a boost to her confidence. However, she will have to be at her best in order to challenge her opponents at Ayr.
The favourite filly will be ridden by, Paul Mulrennan, who has got a lot of experience, and has won quite a few races at this level. The rider does lack consistency, due to which his strike rate is on the lower side.
Despite a couple of good performances from Show Flower, the bookies believe that she will be beaten by, Dubai Sunshine, who is a decent runner.
He does not have a good strike rate, but is expected to break the shackles today.
The three-year-old gelding has participated in seven events, winning one of them and finishing third in as many times. He finished third in his most recent outing, which shows that he is carrying a decent momentum.
