I was born with asthma and ive been using Advair Diskus for about 3 years no and I feel like my lungs are getting addicted. And I was reading that it made you gain wait faster and it made you grow slower. I went one day without it and ended up in the hospital with Bronchitis. Now I made a decision and ive been off of Advair for about 7 weeks and I feel good that I'm off but feel like my asthma is getting worse. The albuterol med for my inhaler changed the ingredients or something to help the environment now it doesn't work for me anymore but it used too. Now I don'tt know what to do!

Should I start taking my Advair again?

  1. Well ... you had no business weaning yourself off the medication .... secondly, the Albuterol may or may not be ineffective .... you are trying to compare apples with oranges ... the Advair most likely helped control your asthma ... and without this ant-inflammatory effect ... your condition has worsened .... shame on you ... you should never treat yourself ... see how poorly you did?

  2. yes. And in the future do not take yourself off of prescribed medication. If you have concerns about side effects you need to speak with your doctor. You are not taking your asthma seriously.
