Show Time Percy Watson Eliminated from NXT – Updates on Kaval vs. Husky Harris
It was a breath taking moment for all NXT rookies as they prepared for the 4th elimination. Kaval, Husky Harris, Show Time Percy Watson, Alex Riley and Michael McGillicutty were standing in the ring to listen about their fate. The whole idea of NXT revolves around competition between young rookies from around the world. The last remaining rookie becomes the next break out star of the WWE and earns a championship match at a Pay per View against a WWE wrestler. 3 rookies were eliminated from NXT in the past couple of weeks. The stakes were high as rookies watched towards the big screen for the next elimination.
There was complete silence in the arena and everyone waited for the big announcement. After some intense moments, it was announced that Show Time Percy Watson has been eliminated from NXT. Percy Watson was given the opportunity to make his farewell speech to wrestling fans around the world. It was a heart breaking moment for Percy as he addressed the crowd. Fans cheered for him for all he did at NXT.
But the emotional moments were soon over and it was announced that the high flying Kaval would clash against the Army Tank with Husky Harris. Kaval has battled in many wrestling circuits around the world but it the first time he has entered the squared circle of the WWE. On the other hand, Husky Harris is familiar with the business from his childhood as he is the son of the great wrestler I. R. S. Both rookies desperately needed a win to make an impact to stay in the competition.
The wrestlers locked horns with their careers on the line. Husky drew first blood as he delivered punches to the back of Kaval’s head. Kaval replied to Husky by delivering some quick kicks to his legs. It was an interesting competition as Husky came to ring with a mixture of slow speed and high powered offense. He was matched with Kaval who was extremely quick and highly athletic.
Husky Harris changed the entire match as he banged Kaval on the ring corner. Husky then ran in the ring and collided with Kaval with full intensity. The pain was too much for Kaval as he fell on the ring floor like a fallen tree. It seemed that the match would be over when Husky went for the cover. But Kaval knew that his career was on the line and he gathered all his strength to kick out before the referee’s final count of three.
Kaval then impressed everyone when Husky tried to throw him to the ropes. Instead of going with the momentum, Kaval rolled in the ring and kicked Husky right on his jaw. It was an unorthodox manoeuvre and Kaval literally caught Husky off guard. The move was followed by quick punches to Husky’s head. Kaval was on a roll and was clearly dominating this important match. Kaval then executed a stylish and effective spring board kick to Husky’s jaw. Dashing Cody Rhodes was extremely worried when he saw this.
This was the time when Kaval executed his extremely effective wrestling finisher. He climbed to the top of the turn buckle, jumped even higher in the air and then landed with his boots on Husky’s chest. It was over as Kaval went for the cover and the referee counted to three with Husky’s shoulders firmly touching the ring floor.
That was not a normal loss for Husky as he knew that this match would seriously undermine his reputation and might result in his elimination from NXT. Kaval and his pros, the team of Lay–Cool, were extremely proud of his win. This was because Kaval finally defeated Husky after losing in a string of matches against him.
