  1. If your do not know what the show is judged on the it would prolly not be a good idea to enter the classes. As the person above me said I would not enter the hunters and show jumping because it can confuse the horse. Some horses can do it with out an issue some can't so I would make sure your pony can handle it before you enter both. I would ask your trainer what these classes are she/he is going to be able to tell you a lot better then people on here can. If you do not have a trainer or your trainer does not even know what they are then I would not enter the show.

PS sorry if im sounding rude its not ment to sound mean lol

  2. wow...im astounded how you can enter a class but dont know what they are judging...its not all about ribbons its about being good and if you dont know what they are looking for how is that possible?...since your in New Zealand i cant recommend any sites to look stuff up because they are USA regulation rules so sry =S

  3. well from the look of your pony (very cute!) i'd probably enter her mainly in the hunter classes, and riding classes. im not a showie, i mainly event, so i cant tell you the things that they look for specifically. but you cant go wrong with sit up, look up, and shoulders back, as it makes a huge difference to your upper body, reduces tipping forward and rising behind the movement. good luck!!

  4. Okay.. well

Working Pony Hunter.. im not sure exactly, but i think its judged like hunters is. Which is by style going through a course of fences.

Hunter Pony, do you mean Pony Hunters? that is judged on style when jumping a course of fences. Do you have the same amount of strides between fences in a line? Do you have the right lead? Does your horse rush? Thats basically what the judge looks at.

And i dont know what Senior Unity is. Show jumping is where you jump a first course of fences trying to go clear, adn if you do, then you go to phase 2 which has several more fences. The judges dont judge, they take the time of how long it took, and calculate poles down and refusals which all go against you. I dont know what show hunter is either. Dressage is where you preform a series of flatwork movements in a 'test' The judge scores you on how well you can work through the test given to you, and how accurate all the movements are.

You probably shouildn't enter things if you don't know what they are though.. And entering in hunters and show jumping can confuse the horse since they are asked to jump nice and slow in hunters and then faster in show jumping.

  5. Hey very cute pony!

    well

workin hunter pony- the judges asses your horse on the conformation ( the straightness and stance of the horse) and also the paces. but thats not all they also look at your horses jump to again asses the straightness but also to look at the power and passion of your horse!

wat they will do is ask you to jump a course of jumps- like a normal show jumping class which u can choose the height of- then once you have finished your class they will ask you to go and do a short show.

im not shore about the others but i hope this helps!

    hope this helps!
