Show not staged?

There's this show on WE TV called Rescue Mediums. I know John Edwards & Ghost Hunters and whatnot is staged, but this show I'm telling you DOES NOT SEEM STAGED TO ME. Their website is http://rescuemediums.com Has anyone seen this show? It's impossible for this show to be staged. I believe it's real. Opinions?

I don't understand what you mean by "staged".  If someone claims to live in a haunted house, but provides no evidence, how do we know if the exorcism works?

I would contend, since there is neither reason nor evidence that ghosts and spirits exist, that this show is just a snow job.  Someone thinks their house is haunted.  Two psychics come in to "treat" the house.  Then all of a sudden the spirits are gone.

This is really no different than the magical medicine of acupuncture or Rieki.  When someone has general symptoms that have no medical diagnosis (i.e. psychosomatic) and go through a "procedure" which they know is being performed to eradicate these symptoms, the treatment is much more likely to be effective.  In other words, you *think* you are sick--when the symptoms are just in your head--and you receive a treatment you *think* will cure you--even though the treatment does nothing to you medically--then you are going to feel better after the treatment.

I'm not saying this is what is going on in this show, but this is how exorcisms, possessions and any other phenomenon with a psychological overlap have been "cured" before.

I do not recall if they say anything about it being entertainment or if they make a statement like the ladies are for real.

One thing that is different is they get their psychic information before they get to the place from their dreams or however they get it. So they bring drawings with them that the people always seem to recognise.
