  1. 1. difference of 10 3/4 and 5 7/8 = 10 3/4 - 5 7/8

    = 10 6/8 - 5 7/8 = 9 14/8 - 5 7/8 = 4 7/8

    4 times the difference = 4 x 4 7/8 = 4 x 39/8 = 39/2 = 19 1/2 (or 19.5)

    2. Area of triangle = (1/2) x base x height = (1/2) x 3 3/4 x 2 1/2

    = 1/2 x 15/4 x 5/2 = 75/16 = 4 11/16 (or 4.6875)

    3. Perimeter of a rectangle = 2x (height + wide)

    = 2x(4 3/4 + 6 1/2) = 2x(4 3/4 + 6 2/4) = 2 x 10 5/4

    = 2 x 11 1/4 = 22 2/4 = 22 1/2 (or 22.5)

    4. What? you really need someone helps on this one:

    0.005 < 0.025< 0.15 < 0.5

    5. 7.3 - (2/5)(1.75) = 7.3 - (2/5)(1 3/4) = 7.3 - (2/5)(7/4)

    = 7.3 - (14/20) = 7.3 - 7/10 = 7 3/10 - 7/10

    = 6 13/10 - 7/10 = 6 6/10 = 6.6

    6. error = (rounded number - original number) / original x 100%

    = (12 - 11.4575) / 11.4575 x 100% = 0.5425 / 11.4575 x 100%

    = 0.04735 x 100% = 4.735%
