Now let

t-time of ascent

for time of ascent, v=0

v=u+at

0=u-gt

u=gt

t=u/g-------(1)

time of decent

v=v, u=0

v=u+at

v=0+gt

t=v/g--------(2)

From equ. (1) & (2) time of ascent is equal to time of decent.
