  1. Spray it with a midew remover and then throw it in the washer. You may just want to buy a new one though.

  2. well i would have said to soak it in bleach, but there you go :S

Im pretty sure thats how we get ours clean...

might be worth trying it on a corner first to test

  3. All you have to do is throw it in the washing machine with your usual detergent. wash alone, nothing else in the machine with the curtain. after its washed, hang it up to dry. don't put it in the dryer. but if it's that bad, you could always buy a new one.

  4. You can get a cleaner that kills mildew on contact. I use Zep. Bleach will also take care of it.

  5. I wouldn't use bleach either. I would buy a new one and also buy a liner with it. The liners are $3 and you can even buy them for a buck at the dollar store. Once that stuff starts growing, it's hard to get off unless you scrub at it. I usually buy a new shower curtain every 6 months, but now that I use a liner, I don't have to, I just buy a new liner. Once you buy a new liner and curtain, just spray the liner down with a cleaner and rinse with the shower water/ shower head. It also helps to keep the shower curtain closed to dry after your shower so you don't get mildew in the creases, then you can open the curtain to dry out your shower. Good luck!

  6. You can put in the wash machine, with soap and bleach. That

usually works. If not you can get them at the dollar store. I know the dollar tree has them. Everything 1 dollar, there.

  7. I wash my plastic shower curtains in the washing machine, usual detergent, large load setting (for water), gentle cycle, hot water.  They come out smelling nice and looking squeeky clean!

  8. Throw it out and buy another one :)

  9. I spray the curtain with Clorox Clean Up.  Never had a problem.

I also will throw it in the washer ocassionaly, too.

  10. Marylynn mild bleach solution will not damage plastic shower curtains.  That is what I would use.  You could place in washing machine on gentle cycle.  Use bathroom vent to draw moisture out of bathroom when taking shower,  this will help emiminate moisture and should help with mildew problem.

    Good Luck

  11. If this is just a plain cheap one, throw it out and buy another. For the $5 it costs to buy a new one spending an hour fussing and trying to clean it just isn't worth it. If it is a nice more expensive one follow some of the advice above about cleaning it.

  12. take it down, put it in the bath with water with some washing powder , leave it soaking for a while and give it a wash with a nail brush, then rinse it off ! hope this helps

  13.    It's easy, just buy a new shower curtain and throw out the old one.

  14. I use a solution of bleach and water in a spray bottle.  Spray it on your curtain, let it set for a few minutes and then rinse it off.  Works every time.

  15. Buy a new one.  If you bought a pretty one then you should spend a extra $2 to buy a liner for it.  That way the liner protects the pretty curtain from mildew and when the liner gets yucky, just buy a new one.
