Question:

Shower drain leak!?

Hi, I installed new shower walls and panels, and new shower floor under base. I used same base, when put back in, there is now a small dripping in the basement rec room from shower drain. The unit just sits inside drane pipe. Do I need to take drain out of shower, and put new rubber in it, or silicone it. Thanks

  1. Silicone is superficial and temporary use, yes I would advise take the unit out and repair it with new rubber, if a job's worth doing, it's worth doing well, and properly. Extra work, but saves time in the long run

  2. Plumbers putty, Home Depot.
