Showing 'out of range' signs on the projector screen after I connect my Fujitsu laptop to the projector.

Question

I always had this problem of not able to project my Fujitsu laptop screen on the projector during my presentation in class.

When I plugged in the projector wire to my Fujitsu laptop and pressed the projector function key, it will then black off for awhile and then show a sign 'out of rang' on the white screen that the projector screen on.

Anybody also experienced this problem? How do I solve it? Steps by steps procedure answer will be much more appreciated. Thank You.

Your resolution is too high for the projector. Change it by right-clicking the desktop, going to properties, then the settings tab.
