Showjump poles?

Question

Does anyone know anyone or seen any adverts for second hand showjumps and poles etc?? Been looking for ages but don't really want to have to buy them new as they're pretty much the same quality as second hand ones! thank yooou

if you cant find any second hand ones  (hard as people tend to keep them until they break) try making some...they are surprisngly easy to do!

Put an ad in your local paper and tack shop.

try some horse magazines

and ads in the paper, as some people have already mentioned

also, you should try your local tack shop. either they could have some, or could tell you of some places that do

Check your local advertising paper (AdTrader is great if there's one nearby). And a previous poster is right, put up an ad as people may have some that they just haven't got around to advertising. Try the backs of horse magazines too, these sometimes have classified ads.

keep an eye in the papers on the horse section as jumps tend to come up in them. If you want some cheap poles, you could buy 5ft round poles from your local timber merchant and paint them up yourself, which works out cheaper than buying poles. Plastic jumps nd poles last longer than the wooden ones. The best jumps i belev are jump4joy or something similar. Jumps are fairley easy to make! you need an upright piece and 2 smaller peices that wil giv the jump stand its own balance. Also look on ebay!

why not just make your own jumps, that is what i do. Get a peice of that wood the thick wood and paint it red and white it is fun, and it doesnt cost as much!
