Showjumping help needed?

i have recently retrained my ex racehorse and realised he is a really nice showjumper, there is just one problem, he is too strong and does not turn sharply enough and can sometimes charge at the jump? anything i can do?

  1. My friend has a retired racehorse that she is now using as a Hunter/Jumper. She'll always be a bit fast, but after professional training and some time to settle down after the track, she's doing really well. I would say that if your horse is too strong for you or you feel uncomfortable re-training him, ask for a pro to help you!


  2. Try to work him in circles. His body may not e developed in the way that it makes him easy to jump. In figure eights, you can slow him down and make him turn.

    dont just pull row your hands and when you can be soft and just sort of bump his nose up with the rains and dont let him/her get away with it ecen though he/she was trained to just run.if he/ she runs bring them in a tight circle.
