Showme TheBunny(5/2JF) vanquished Colligs Manor(5/2JF) and grabbed the purse in the Pick Six Jackpot Starts Here
The 500 meters race, Pick Six Jackpot Starts Here, confirmed two ideals of the race before the show started. At 8:43 PM, the track of Sheffield was set on fire as the doors of the traps flied up and released the lot of six hounds.
Showme TheBunny, being one of the most favourite of the event as 5/2, gave a hit for trainer N Melbourne.
Though he was the joint favourite, his performance was not impressive at all. N Melbourne had to keep his fingures crossed throughout the event.
As trap 5 opened for the three-year-old, he dashed through his contenders. Even though his pace was quite lethargic and slothful in the beginning, when he was left with 4 lengths, he surged through the track and eventually came at the lead until he got hold
of the wire.
Wearing orange and white jacket, the young purse winner took 29.48 seconds to cross the finish line.
Along with winning the purse, Showme TheBunny, with his fantastic pace, in the last few minutes, vanquished E T Parker’s Broadacres Chief by 1 length.
The trap 6 racer tried every chance to cope up with the situation, but sadly he was not able to compete.
Being in the race as a 3/1 ideal, the black dog managed to finish second for E T Parker, in 29.56 seconds.
Besides Broadracres Chief, there was another hound under E T Parker’s training, who finished third for him in the Pick Jackpot Starts Here.
Carrigeen Ted, who was left 1 ¼ lengths behind when Broadracres Chief crossed the wire, muddled through the third position.
Even though his chase for the lure was really good during the early pace and he even managed to lead the race for 1 till 4 lengths, he was not able to get along with his speedy contenders, taking 29.66 seconds to cover the distance.
Mucky Obama finished fourth due to his abysmal performance. The trap 2 racer had a very sluggish start, due to which the black dog got crowded for 3 whole lengths, that pulled him 3 ¾ lengths behind Carrigeen Ted.
K E Perrin’s three-year-old covered the required distance in 29.96 seconds.
½ a length away from Mucky Obama was Colligs Manor, the joint favourite of the race. The black dog tragically survived fifth for J D Davy.
The 5/2 JF got crowded by 3 lengths as he railed through trap 3, and was unable to overcome this hassle, due to which he took 30.00 seconds to finish the race.
The last hound to finish, started chasing the lure from trap 1. J R Smith’s Romeo Captain, 5/1 favourite, finished sixth for his trainer.
The four-year-old took 30.10 seconds in getting hold of the wire.
The race entailing £292 rewarded Showme TheBunny £102, while other participants were given £38 each.
