anyone know when the word gnar began being used for shredding powder.

  1. Because a lot of surfers also head to the hills, there is no surprise that surfing lingo has taken root in the skiing lexicon. This has been going on for some time actually.

    I first heard it used about 10 years ago when I was working out west.


  2. Lol probably around when the snowboard was invented.  It just sounds like a boarder word. ;-)
