Anyone have any tips on getting them to lay completely flat after pulling them out of the oven without smudging the ink?

  1. No,try the cooking and recipe category, they would know better, sorry i really don't know and i don't lie acting like i do know, like a lot of people on here just to get chosen for 10 points.

  2. It has more to do with the type of ink you use. Some inks are very slow to dry. I've had to leave some projects to dry for a week before trying to shrink them. And I've had better luck putting them in at a lower temp than the directions call for- the shrinking isn't as wild, so it's easier to control the edges. Even so, there have been times that the finished item took a while to fully cure. I learned mostly by trial and error- lots of error!

  3. I'm not sure...

You could try just leaving it in the oven with the oven open and "airing it out" for a minute or two(by like waving/blowing a rag so it can cool off a little) then pull it out possibly?

But idk because the only shrinky dinks I have ever done were on easter eggs and you just dropped em' in the hot water and took them out after they were cooled.

    But good luck!:D
