Shubaat is likely to prevail in the StanJames.com Chester Cup (Heritage Handicap) at Chester in England on Wednesday, May 9, 2012. The triumphant horse will walk away with a cash prize of £62,250.

Out of the above mentioned runners, Mount Athos and Zuider Zee are doubtful for the race. They could have fought for race victory, as both were quite experienced.
However, the odds are in favour of Shubaat, who seems to be in great shape at the moment. The bookmakers have complete confidence in his skills and the bettors are also likely to risk money in his favour.
The five-year-old gelding has taken part in five races until now, winning a couple of them. In addition to that, he has also secured the third spot on three occasions, which means that he has never dropped out of the top three.
The Roger Varian’s trainee performed really well in his most recent race, as he finished on top of the table by a comfortable margin of three lengths. He was not rated favourite for the event, but still managed to make a solid impression in the end.

Other than the top two favourites, Overturn and Never Can Tell will be the other ones to watch out for in the race.
