ive brot my ipod for the last 2 years to camp and last year it got stolen on the last day bit that was becuz i was being careless and left it out to charge. If i did bring it thid year, i wud put it (and my other electronics) in a toolbox and lock the box. And id only charge it wen i was around. but theres still that chance that itll get stolen. Especially cuz in my 7 week long summer there are 3 5 day trips away from camp, so then itd be in the locked box but wat if someone takes the whole box? (tho thats unlikely, and i make sure my name was written all over the box) but i do really want to have music. And i cant do the cd thing, i have too much music and its too much of a hassle. Wud it be worth it to buy an old used ipod (like one withour video and stuff) for a bit of mmoney. I just feel like thats a waste of money, but i reallly cant have my ipod stolen again. Also does anyone know how much a working used old ipod would cost? Any help appreciated, thanks

  1. No you shouldn't. It can easily get stolen or broken. I don't know how many times this has happened to my friends. But if you are hooked on music, bring a portable cd player and burn your favorite playlist to a cd.

  2. Do you think that you are going to keep up with it, are you every day going to make sure that it is in the box, if i were you i would ask myself these questions before taking it.

  3. This is the chance you have to take for yourself.

I think that having alraody lost one you will have a better idea of looking after another.

  4. ya dude i always bring mine just dont leave it out and it should be fine aslong as you dont like flaunt it around or anything.... and ebay should have something

  5. this sounds insanely dorky but works!:) trying bringing ur back-pack and buy a little lock from like the dollar-store then put it threw the two little holes at the end if the zipper that zips up the the pocket ur ipod is in,wear one of those key things that go around your neck and keep it with u at all times.

HOPE THIS HELPS IT OWRKS FOR ME WHEN I BRING MY IPOD TO camp

  6. dont take your ipod anymore to camp people can steal it verry fast!!

you should try going to a pawn shop they sell them verry cheap there!

  7. Camp is there to enjoy things without these things, to get closer to nature; otherwise they might aswell jst ahve you living where you normally do... also, my advice is learn from your mistakes.

  8. Do not buy an iPod.  They're still expensive when used. That or they're broken usually.

Also, enjoy camp. It's not about the music.

  9. I would try to find a broken one that didn't work and leave it out to be stolen.

As for the real one, I wouldn't chance it.  I work too hard.

  10. so you'll lock all your expensive things in a portable toolbox so someone can just pick it all up?  GOOD IDEA!!!!!!!!!!

leave it at home.  i survived camp without Mp3 players.....it's not the end of the world.

do what you want.  I'm sure you are already packing it.....writing your name on your toolbox won't do a d**n thing.

  11. No. First of all, you don't want to loose it. It is too costly and a prime target for kids to steal things. What kind of sleezebag wouldn't want a free iPod, right?

Anyways, I'm sure you can go a few days without your iPod. Besides, you're at camp to be doing activities and meeting new people, and that's all the more difficult to do with headphones in your ears.

    Have fun!

  12. h**l yea! dude theires no music at camp cmon what will you do with out no music over the mountains???

  13. no you shouldn't take it with you.And go to apple.com and click services then call them up they'll tell you what's wrong with your ipod and if it can be repaired and how much it costs. You should buy like 8gb pp3 player for like 20bucks u know those ungly ones.

  14. I dont think you should, there are people who will take anything they get their hands on, and I've lost a lot of things, in places like school, but if your really careful, i think the chances of losing it is slim, but I still don't recommend bringing it to camp.

  15. Is this a spelling camp that you are attending?

No. Leave the iPod at home and enjoy yourself with the new people that you meet.

  16. How much do you care about it. If you really want to use it and if you lost it and buying a new one would be cheap for you than bring it. Otherwise, I would say don't take the risk.

  17. Yes you should bring it.  Just take good care of it and don't leave it out when you are not around.

  18. Your at camp  leave the c**p at home and dont be a target

  19. yeah bring it

if you lock it up it should be fine

you should keep an eye out for your old one two

  20. just take really reall really good care of it or if you are not willing to have it glued to your hand then dont take it. =]

  21. Don't bring your pod with you.

its too riscy to bring it

i took my pod to school with me and it got stolen and i couldn't report it cause i'm not suppose to have it at school

just don't take it with you

and used pods are almost the same price as new ones

    hth~

  22. You could buy one of those $49 ones but if it gets stolen again then you just lost $49 dollars but don't lock it in the box their. This is a tuf cookie what if you say that " hey someone took my i-pod and I'm really mad and it had a song that was made just fro me by my cousin and i would really like it back". What if you play your music when know ones looking then ppl will think it's gone.

  23. Unless you're planning to keep it in your pocket for most of the trip, I wouldn't suggest bringing  a new ipod. If you have an ipod that is older that you wouldn't mind losing, you could take it.

It's really a question of how much you need your ipod for amusement. You're at camp, so could that be amusing enough for you?

  24. No way. It could get stolen or broken. And you don't want to pay for it. You will be mostly busy at camp so what's the point, you will not have time for listening to music. Plus some i-pods do not work when camping. Hope u all the best camping.

  25. thts definetly a NO NO.

cuz you might regret it in the end if something happens to it and be like dang i should have just left it at home.

  26. Your instructions for camp probably say not to bring electronics....

  27. If you have it locked up it should be fine. But if you dont wanna take the risk dont take the iPod.

  28. I'd say leave it at home. Enjoy camp.

If you can't do without, get a cheap Mp3 player.

  29. I would not bring it. even if you can lock it away if they were determined to get it they will. unless you not let one person know about it but most likely they will see it. Just keep it home better safe then sorry

  30. If you know that you'll be careful, bring it. If you're a little shaky about losing it, I'd forget about it. Especially if your music/iPod is important to you and you want it for the rest of the summer. :)
