Shunt surgery???Recovery???

Question

How long would a 14 year old expect to be in hospital after shunt surgery for hydrocephalus?

and wat would recovery be like, activity wise??

and could they participate in sports with a shunt???

I'm far from being an expert, but he/she would probably in the hospital 2-3 days and (depending on his/her initial condition) should be able to be rather active, but the area needs to be kept EXTREMELY clean to avoid infections.
