Shut off pc before vacation...now when i press start it just blinks..won't go on. can anyone help me?

I would unplug the power from the back of the computer and let it sit unplugged for about 20 minutes then plug it back in and see if it will turn on if it does not turn back on try opening the case and pop the ram out and put it back in the same place the try starting the computer if it does not start up this time it sounds like the motherboard has gone bad

What color is the light when it blinks yellow green red? gonna need more information in order  to help. Is there any audible beeping? Is it a desktop or a laptop? what brand and model is it?

I know when I do that, I think my computer is mad at me that I left.

What is blinking, just the cursor on the screen? Just the lights on the front?

What you can check is your lan card or modem. If the computer powers on, one of these could be the issue. If your area is prone to storms, then lightning could have struck, and zapped your modem or LAN card. To check, pop the case and remove the card and see if it boots up then.

I had a computer do the same thing, It ended up being my modem, swapped it out and all is well.
