  1. Leave it plugged in to ensure that the battery remains fully charged (you don't need to discharge the battery as often as some people (who parrot advise for Nickel batteries that don't appear in laptops nowadays, at least not as main batteries) think you do, every few months to reset the battery meter will be fine).

As for putting it to sleep or shutting down, there's really not enough difference for it to matter (although if you use a defective OS like windows you'll probably need to reboot every so often to clear memory leaks).  If sleep or hibernation is more convenient then just do that.

  2. ON OR OFF ?

Leaving your computer on is not only wasteful, but expensive

[ up to $200 a year...depending on where you live and who your electric power supplier is ].

"buggy" software will leak and the drivers will grab memory and resources and..not return it.

if you never reboot, they continue to leak, grab memory till your PC just about crawls.

reboot every day and keep your software drivers updated.

  3. leave it plugged in... and it is better to shut it down... becuase it is like you sleeping. you wake up better than when you went to bed. but putting it to sleep will be like you laying down on the couch and not falling asleep... you may feel better but you arent better. and putting it to sleep doesnt turn it off all the way.
