Ok, so i live in a beutiful suburbon area in north carolina where i rent a 1 stroy i bedroom house in an appartment community of these houses, and my house is right next to the clubhouse. the only scar to the community is the fact that anyone is the greater area, not just the renters, can meet in the clubhouse, and the kkk holds meetings there tuesdays and thursdays from 5 to 7 pm. my question is, what if during one of there meetings in the winter, when it is completly dark by 6 and they need lights, i went around to the power shed to the back of the clubhouse, picked the lock and pulled down the power switch? then they would just be sitting around talking about watever and the power just shuts off. then by the time they come out and figure out that the power switch has been pulled, im back in my house. then they turn it back on, go back inside, then i do it again 20 minutes later. What do u think they'd be thinking and if they found out who was doing it what do u think theyd do?

  1. They would probably do KKK stuff to you...

  2. You best pray they don't have rope and a tree handy

  3. So in essence you'd like to illegally harass people you don't approve of? Perhaps you should be inside the clubhouse rather than outside.

  4. It is illegal to do this. What if you get caught outside and get your butt whipped? It is so dark that you cannot prove who it was.

  5. Depending upon your local laws, I can see this being regarded as violations of several laws, with the least being vandalism or trespassing.

Despite the fact that I agree with you that the KKK is a blight, they still have basic freedom of speech and assembly, as guaranteed by our Constitution.

I don't advocate that you join the KKK, but it might be worthwhile to see if you could attend one of their meetings.  Perhaps based upon what you see and hear, you might be able to understand why they think the way they do.  Probably some are mentally ill.  Paranoia comes to mind.

Other reasons why someone might join such an organization is because of religious beliefs.  The Bible has been used to justify slavery, and many other form of bigotry.  They may simply need to feel superior to someone and are using it as an excuse.

Another factor to consider is that the Civil War wasn't really that far in our past, and many families lost are large number of their people as a result of the war.  The presence of African Americans may remind themselves of what their families of losses that they cannot forget.  Furhter, when I was young the racial segregation laws were still in place and one of my relatives pointed out that being forced to live with African Americans was a constant reminder of the mistakes our ancestors made, and he would rather not be constantly reminded of them.

Based upon experience, I find it is best to eat dinner with the enemy.  If you try to wipe them out they simply have more excuses to strike you back.  "Turn the other cheek" is a well-respected idea.

  6. Please clarify for me why you would want to do something like that? Are you against the KKK's agenda? OR Do you like to just pull pranks no matter who the group is using the clubhouse? I am serious here. Why?? As others may have hinted at that the KKK is not a group you'd want to mess with; but the bigger picture is: The owner of the clubhouse could have you charged with vandalism, not to mention what kind of charges the power company may levee against you for tampering with equipment? Never mind the fact that you could get literally zapped for messing around with things that are kept under lock and key. Use your head. In ten years, you don't want to look back with regret.
