Question:

Shy guys: is a woman's vulnerable side attractive?

I'm very shy and so is the guy I'm dating. Sometimes I bottle up my vulnerabilities (like dealing with a chronic illness or feeling insecure about a few things). I haven't really let the guy I'm dating see much of my vulnerabilities and I'm a little scared to.

If you were a shy guy, would you be attracted or detracted to a woman's vulnerable side?

  1. I find it attractive.  It's not so much that I seek out women with problems, it's just, it makes me feel like I have some way I can help, and it's some way I can prove myself.

Vulnerabilities are, for good reason, something very hard to talk about; just talk about them when you're ready.  He has them too; sometimes, it's what connects people.  I think that most successful relationships have partners that acknowledge each others' weaknesses.

  2. It could be attractive. But I would definitely dole them out a little at a time. For someone who is shy, understanding or even fixing issues could be very rewarding. But, you don't want to scare him or have him think you are a total mess.
