  1. It’s the ring! (“I had it of Leah when I was a bachelor”)

    He also laments about his daughter, but says (“.. precious jewels; I would my daughter were dead at my foot, and the jewels in her ear ..”)

    There is no mention of a key to a strong box, only the key to the apartment.
