On Sunday, Cote D’Ivoire left-back Siaka Tiene scored a crucial goal in a 2-1 win over Dijon FCO on day 27 of the 2011/2012 Ligue 1. The left-back gave a good account of his skills and is motivated to prolong his stay at Ile.
“I am focused with PSG in Ligue 1 and I want to win above all else,” were the words of Tiene. The 30-year-old has been left to compete for a place in the starting XI with Maxwell. The Brazilian left-back joined from Barcelona in the January transfer window.
The arrival of the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan man means that Tiene will have to compete with him for a place in the starting XI.
Self-assured, smiling and relaxed, he gave an interview to Paris. The Ivorian made it clear that he is not at all worried about having Maxwell as the person he will compete with for a place in the starting XI.
“how could I complain about having a competitor who comes from Barcelona? This will help me improve further. Ancelotti requested a compact game and did pretty well. This is something that suits me.”
Tiene has gone on to say that he will stay at Parc des Princes until the end of the contract and might even consider ending his career at the Parisian club. The defender is keen on being a part of the new project at the club and understandably, wants to
win titles for the club.
“I am under contract until June 2013 so yes, I will stay in Paris. After that, we do not know what can happen. But I want to participate in this project of the new PSG and I want to continue.”
The desires of the Ivorian are now disclosed. However, it remains to be seen whether PSG would want to keep the player at the club especially if they qualify for the UEFA Champions League for next season.
