Sick 3 year old?

He has a 101.4 fever under his arm. He woke me up crying hysterically saying his tummy hurt. He won't eat anything or drink anything. I gave him tylenol and laid him down on the couch. I dont know what else to do for him. Poor thing is miserable. If the fever doesnt go down I will put him in the bath tub to bring it down but I dont know what to do for his tummy or to keep him hydrated because he wont drink anything but milk and im afraid the milk will make him sicker.

take him to the doctors today and have him checked out, as children are more likely to have fits if their temp is to high and more common if the child is under 5yrs. better to be safe then sorry

Get off the computer and take him to the doctor.  He has got some type of virus to have a fever like that and not able to eat or drink.  You should call the doctor to see what they suggest and take him somewhere.

ok so he says his tummy hurts. has he thrown up at all? if he has what you do is put a wet cool washcloth on the back of his neck and another on his forhead. this can help control nausea. basiclally all you can do is keep him comfy. wash his sheets or put new ones on his bed. give him a lukewarm bath and try to get him to drink gatorade or juice. the important thing is to keep him hydrated. make sure he gets plenty of rest and liquids. put him in his bed or on the couch and sitck in a disney movie. hope he feels better!

try a popsicle- keep him hydrated at all cost.

u could try some peppermint tea for his tummy.

a kid at 3 doesnt have to have milk all the time any more esp when sick.  if condition contiues call doc in a few hrs. - at least its the weekend.

if your concerned see a doc but if you think its a tummy bug then give a warm not * hot* hot water bottle to put on tummy try making sure he has plenty of liquid i know you said he had fever but if the tummy is making him more upset than temp try to help that first milk does settle tummys and also if he is sick well it might help  to be sick,hope he gets better soon bring temp down,if poss have just underwear on and a  cool face cloth on his head plenty cuddles x
