I have a 9 month old American Bulldog. She's been throwing up any food or water that she eats all day long. She also has been inactive most of the day. Yesterday she was just fine! I don't know what to do!!

  1. watch her. if there's no improvement or it gets worse take her to a vet as soon as you can.

  2. Take her to the vet.  Take a sample with you of the vomit as well.  Get a plastic spoon and scoop up a bit and just put the whole spoon in a ziplock bag.  That way the vet can test it for parasites and also can see what she is throwing up and how digested it is.  They will probably ask you if it is just a spit up and walking away or if it is a heaving throw up to find out how far down the food is going so pay attention to that too.  But when a dog throws up for a whole day, a vet visit is definitely in order.

Parvo is one thing that causes this sort of symptoms and it must be treated IMMEDIATELY.

  3. Does she have all of her boosters?

If you aren't taking her to the emergency animal clinic this evening, at least give them a call and tell them her symptoms. Since they see a myriad of illnesses, they might be able to tell you what to watch for overnight before you can get her to the vet in the morning.

Try giving her Pedialyte. I know she is also throwing up water, but if she can keep down just a little bit it would help her. Pedialyte is made for children who are throwing up or having bouts of diarrhea. It is fortified with valuable vitamins and minerals lost when they are sick.

I had to give that to my dachshund once. If you could freeze it in to ice cubes that would be awesome.

I hope your puppy comes out of this well :)

  4. Take her to the vet ASAP.

  5. TAKE HER TO THE VET NOW!!!! a dog is supposed to have a certain amount of fluid and food in her stomach this sounds a bit serious,,,take her to the vet immmediatly she could have internal injury or something but take her to the goddamn vet!!

  6. take her to the fweking vett already!!!!!

  7. ER vet tonite or vet first thing in the morning.  She could have ingested something that is making an obstruction and that can be lethal if surgery is not done asap.  VET just to be sure.  Rule of thumb...vomiting any more than 3 times in a two hour period requires at least a call to the vet.

  8. Has she had all her shots? If not this is not good. Could be Parvo.

  9. time for a vet
