I FILLED THE GLASS TUBE UP TO THE LINE WITH TANK WATER THAN ADDED 8 DROPS FROM BOTTLE #1 AND 8 DROPS FROM BOTTLE #2, SHOOK FOR 5 SECOND AND LET IT SIT FOR 5 MINUTES. I HELD IT UP TO THE LITTLE CARD WITH COLORS AND IT WAS PALE YELLOW WHICH IS 0.

THIS IS EXACTLY HOW THE DIRECTIONS SAID TO DO IT. i FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THE AMONNIA IS SO LOW CONSIDERING IT NEVER GETS WATER CHANGES OR CLEANED [NOT MY TANK!]. IF ITS NOT THE AMONNIA WHAT COULD IT BE?

  1. There are NUMEROUS other ways that fish can get stressed, chief among them are crowded conditions, though there could certainly be other toxins (chlorine) or nitrogen compounds (nitrite, nitrate) in the water other than ammonia.  What symptoms is the fish displaying?

  2. We need to know the symtoms! It could be any number of the thousands of diseases NOT caused by ammonia!

  3. Fish get many disease with some of the main ones being a condition called ICK. You can get over the counter meds for this. There are all types of fungus. Look over your fish well and then call petstore and see what they reccomend for you to do.

  4. Firstly, please don't ask in upper caps it is like yelling at people, and painful to read,    thanks...

You should check your nitrite levels, it is the second most dangerous toxin to fish, and then nitrates which are less dangerous but should not be over 30-40ppm

Also you really should be doing some regular water changes to keep the nitrates down and get rid of the detritus in your tank

Good luck with your sick Gold Fish, btw what are the symptoms, there could be many reasons he is ill
