Question:

Sick kit??????

My daughter (6) woke me up 2:00am today throwing up and diarrhea. I took care of her, but while I was rushing around setting things up, I thought how much easier it would be to get a "sick bucket" instead of running around finding the coup drops, lollipops, tissues, barf bucket, etc. What do you think of this? What should I put in it.?

  2. well it sounds like you're more interested in having a specific sick kit... for those throwing up times... i'd keep it in the barf bucket (washed obviously :) )  and have all the things you were running around trying to get together last night.  tissues.. cough drops.. a bell (for beckoning), perhaps a coloring book... when your daughter is feeling better have her help you put it together and ask her what she would want when she's sick.  you could even decorate the bucket like a magazine collage.

  3. My mom had one of those when I was little and prone to tummy issues. She used a medium-large plastic sand bucket, with cough drops, lollipops, tissues, a bottle of water, and one of those no-freeze ice packs (the cool pack pressed on my forehead/neck was soothing) She also kept the "sick blankie" that was easy to wash in/near the bucket too.
