Sick of tiger anyone?

if i see one more article/highlight on tiger "the wuss" woods, i'm gonna go burn down a country club. of course he hates losing...who doesn't?? and what professional "athlete" isn't competitive??

am i honestly supposed to care about some billionaire not doing well the first round of the masters (which he's won 4 times)? thanks to ESPN, i now know what color underwear tiger woods wears on mondays.

i never liked him, he is dull and graceless. whereas previous golfing greats used to smile and have character, he just glares all the time.

i never get tired of watching such great talent. tiger is something special and i enjoy watching him play especially during the majors to see some great golf. Yeah they show him a lot and people always compliment him but its because he is a humble man who can play golf really well because of hardwork and dedication. Another reason why the networks show him a lot is because many people only began to watch golf because of him and if there are more viewers than there is more money going to the network. it's business.

I do think the PGA tour need Tiger, without a leader player what is the point to watch a tournament. There must be a best player in the tour.

I agree, there are other golfers out there who have a real good shot at winning this weekend, and yeah maybe the tour does need Tiger, but I'm on board with you, I can only take so much.  He had the nice chip in today, aside from that, not a real noteworthy round, though he received most of the air time on ESPN.  I am not a Tiger, and really hope he does not win this weekend (go Phil), but cover the whole field, if he does something "superstar-esque" then fine show it, but there is a lot of other talent playing....

I am a golfer post above me, and while I am not "Tiger" I am pretty d**n good.

I agree. They work his name into the conversation even after he's finished his round. Some other guy hits a certain part of the green and they say: "Oh, that's where Tiger's shot ended up, too". Ridiculous.

This actually is a interesting question that can be very difficult to answer in a logical manner.....I'm with you from the standpoint that it really drives me crazy that I have to watch the tiger woods show everytime he tees it up. I dont have anything against him as I consider him one of the greatest golfers ever, but I believe that his fame and what he has done for golf is actually hurting the tour players. Ever noticed how most of the players that get paired with him usually have bad rounds? Everyone in the galleries surround him which effects other players that arent quite used to that kind of attention. I wish they would just go ahead and make a tiger network that follows his whole round and let his diehard fans watch that and go to setting up cameras on certain holes and just follow the groups as they come through and of course on sunday focus on the top ten. Its just fair for everyone. We all know hes great and all about him and the records that he is setting and the ones that are to come so Im with you, unfortunately we will have to endure.......Pssst.......TIVO the tournaments and forward through him.....the downside to that technique is that you get maybe twenty minutes of anti tiger golf. Peace.

It's not that we're sick of TIGER, it's that we are sick of the golf channel's constant overdoing the praise. They need to chill out and save some for later, I mean, what the h**l are they going to be saying 15 years from now? Probably the same old sh#%$^&t!!!!! Sorry, I had to get THAT out!

lol, i know what you mean. i really dont want to watch the masters because i fear that tiger will win. i would like someone else to win their first major. like zach did last year. and whats funny nowadays is that if someone does win a tournament over tiger, they are congratulated for winning and for defeating tiger. it seems that a win does not matter as much, just beating tiger will get you exposure. i cant stand to watch the golf channel either, they are really gloating on tiger.

Yes.  This is getting rediculous.  Why is Tiger Woods on the front page of MSNBC every day for the last 4 days.   The webmaster of MSNBC should be suspended.  I don't care if Tiger is losing at the masters and I don't care about golf.
