Side Items High in Protein?

Im looking for a list of foods that are high in protein that are side items(foods to go with the meat). Thanks in advance.

  1. Chick peas(garbanzo beans) = yummy!

    Black beans and rice and salsa also yum!

    All beans are good protein wise and lentils yum!


  2. coleslaw with caraway and raisins

    3/4 cup sour cream

    2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

    1 teaspoon caraway seeds

    Kosher salt and pepper

    1 small head green cabbage, thinly sliced

    6 scallion, thinly sliced

    2 carrots, grated

    1 cup Golden raisins

    IN a large bowl, whisk the sour cream, vinegar, caraway seeds, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.

    Add the cabbage scallions, carrots, and raisins. toss well and serve.

  3. edamame succotash. just take corn and mix with edamame (soy beans) and heat, season with salt and pepper and a little butter or lard if you wish.

  4. any kind of nuts or soy are high inprotein.  Other than that vegatables dont have much protein.

Youve got lima, butter, kidney, canneloni, peas, snow peas, string beans, snake beans, french beans, legumes which are not beans but closely related. You can fry them, bake them, simmer them, boil them or whack them straight from the can.
