Question:

Side by side or front/back stroller?

I have a 14 month old and am pregnant w/ baby #2. i'm trying to decide on what kind of stroller i will need. my daughter was out of a infant car seat at 3 months (she's a very big girl;o), so being able to attach the car seat isn't a priority. (i don't want to spend a lot of money for only 3 months of use).

that being said, if i knew it was a stroller i would use throughout my childrens 'stroller days', i don't mind spending the money to only buy ONE stroller. i don't want to have to buy multiple strollers for their different growth stages.

i have no expierence w/ double strollers, so i'm wondering if the side by side or front back strollers are best. what's your opinion?

  1. also another oppinion is when you have a new baby and an older baby the older one will more than likely bother the new little one when they are side by side i like the front back stroller better.

  2. I would have to guess that the side by side ones are a nightmare to maneuver and won't fit many places.

    Good luck and congratulations !

  3. I would say front to back, cause this way here it's not as hard to maneuver around others,it would be alot easier on you.

  4. I have tried both and I prefer the tandem strollers.  They are easier to use in everyday places.  Most isles at the super market or your favorite store in the mall don't accommodate those double wide strollers.  It'll just be frustrating more than anything.  For a stroller that the kids can grow with, I suggest this one.  I have it and its great!

Its a double stroller when they both need a place to sit.  When your toddler prefers walking over riding, you can remove the rear seat and there's a place for her to stand if she wants to.  If she does get tired, there's also a bench that she could sit on.  The front seat is a 5 point harness, but there's also an attatchment so that you could place the carrier there if you wanted to.  Its also very easy to fold.  It does EVERYTHING and I love it.  Its not priced too bad either.  A very good investment.

  5. I had a 15 month old when my 2nd was born. I look at all prams. Side by side ones wouldn't fit in many isles of shops here, so I went against it, and bought the front back one. Yes sometimes it was a pain to turn corners, but was alot easier then the side by side. Plus the side by side ones don't offer as much room for the kids
