Question:

Side effects. Will I get them?

I'm starting a new medication and I have to take it for 10 days. I'm worried about the side effects. If I don't normally experience side effects to medications do you think I will this time? Or is it always different for every medication? Can the side effects last longer than the 10 days?

  1. It varies by medication.

Since you're taking it for ten days, I'm guessing it's an antibiotic.  The only side effects that are really common with antibiotics are upset stomach and yeast infections.  You can take some probiotics (available at the health food store, or look for yogurt with active cultures) while you're taking the antibiotics and for a few days afterwards, to restore the colonies of good bacteria that normally live in the gut and v****a

  2. Most people usually only get mild side effects from medication such as dry mouth or headache but usually they go away after you finish taking the medicine.  Also-if i were you I wouldn't even read the side effects.  Usually I don't read them because I am always afraid that I am going to convince myself that I am having side effects when I am usually not.
