Question:

Side effects to numbing medicine...?

I went to the dentist and got some fillings. The dentist injected me with some numbing medicine and everything was fine. Now that I'm home I'm very drowsy, confused, nauseous, light-headed, and my heart keeps beating irregularly and I'm having trouble typing. Is that normal? What's going on?

  1. no hun, thats not a normal side effect! I have an arrhythmia and deal with the heart skips everyday, but as for someone who doesn't normally get them, no its not ok. You should go to the E.R. and let the doctors monitor your heartbeat for a little while. If you google the word lidocaine, a drug info site will show you the side effects of the medication. Hope I didn't scare you, just want you to understand that this can be serious!
