sidekick id has three water damage sensors, one located underneath the flip panel, one under the battery and one somewhere locked away inside the phone. My problem is this is the second sidekick i had and both phone have had problems with the screen fading. The images are there but so faint i can barely see them. t-m said my phone has water damage because the sensor under the flip cover is starting to turn pink (not fully pink or red which is obvious water damage). The sensor under the battery is totally white and the one inside I would image is also totally white. I never dropped or had by phone near water. t-mobile does not want to replace my phone (which is just 6 months) because of said water damage, i.e. sensor under flip cover turning pink. I asked if humidity or condensation could cause the sensor to turn pink, and they said yes however it would still be considered water damage and not cover. Since this sensor is almost exposed to the elements i believe both t-mobile and danger are ripping off customers by placing a sensor in such a sensitive area on the phone that they can then use as a excuse to not cover replacing this phone under warranty. Of course if i send it for repair it will cost 250.00. t-mobile offer a replacement with a new plan at around 200. Neither t-mobile or danger wants to take responsibility. Does it sound like my phone problem is water damage to you or some other problem? Everything else on my phone works well. If this phone is that sensitive to the elements then i believe it is a design flaw and the customer should be compensate with a new phone. I was told they no longer make the sidekick id. what should i do?
