Sidekick LX owners and t-mobile workers, how do i know when my phone is fully charged?

when my sidekick lx is plugged in to the charger the battery icon on the top right is always saying that its being charged, the lighting bolt stays there and the battery icon keeps filling up (even after i charged it for almost 24 hours), it says in the owners manual that the lightning bolt will disappear after it has been fully charged but mine doesn't, so i have to keep taking it off the charger to see how full the battery is because the icon never tells me. is this normal?

it will just be full and stop looking like its filling up

since I use my phone a lot it takes a lot to fully charge sometimes overnight just wont charge...

but keep it on for 2 days to see if it works ...

yes something must be wrong with the battery or the charger
