Sidekick LX won't read memory card?

Question

My sidekick LX won't read my memory card. It says the inserted card cannot be read. Please use another card. I can't format it either. I tried the memory card on another phone and it works. How can I fix it?

Some phones will only read a certain size and lower; they can't address all the memory in some of the larger cards.  I'd try a smaller card if this is the first time you've tried to use this card.  

If you've used it before and it's suddenly having problems, then there's a chance of damage to either the phone contacts or the card contacts.  I'd advise pulling anything you want to save off the card with your computer and a simple card reader, and buying a new card of the same size.  If the new card gives the same behavior, then the phone contacts are almost certainly damaged.

if you don't have it in right it won't work. try taking it out and see if it will go in another way. maybe the card reader is damaged or something wrong with your phone. take it to a service center let them check it out.

Some phones are picky about memory card brands and what GB it is... Try a different brand.
