I'm going on a carnival cruise in 10 days. I have a sidekick id which has the internet, aim and whatnot. If i use the internet and aim on my phone, will i get charged more for it?

  1. You have to check with your cell phone provider. You will be charged by them not the cruise line. If you can though cell phone internet would be a lot cheaper since every cruise I have been on the internet had cost at least $.50 a min.

  2. Jessica, I strongly suggest to you  that you leave your laptop at home. The internet charges are extremely expensive on cruise ships. You could very easily spend $500 on a 10-day cruise. Phone charges are very expensive, also. There is lots to do and see. You will not miss your internet. I don't.

(I am not familar with the sidekick ID, but if it has ANYTHING to go through the ship, it will be very expensive. The only way around this is if you have a satelite connection.)
