Sidekick lx Unlocking?

Question

I have a Sidekick LX locked to T-Mobile USA. that i want unlocking so i can use it in the UK on Orange.

Now i know that T-Mobile do not supply the unlock codes.

But i have seen on the internet people promising that it can be unlocked to use SMS and calls. There must be away because my when i put my sim in at the moment it comes up with 'Enter speical code to use sim' or something like that.

Or i have seen these things called iSim which you put in with your sim and that does the same thing.

I just want to know any advice and will it work?
