well they now are the same due to the software update on the LX

but if i may add, the 08 has changable covers, and has a smaller compact size. the LX has great sized screen and key pad, but can be a pain having it big. do have in mind you will pay 149.99 for the 08 on 2 year plan and 249.99 for the LX

so the price is entirely up to you

SIDEKICK!!  i have herd only good about that phone it can do everything u would ever need to do on a phone i had a friend who had it and loved it the only thing was it was a little big but she didnt care cuz she loved it soooo much.  get it
