Sideshows for Reading/Leeds Festivals?

Is there usually sideshows for bands playing Reading/Leeds festivals? If so where can you find out about them?

What do you mean by side shows?  Gigs around the area during the festival?  

Bands sometimes plan tours around the same time but it's unlikely you'll find secret gigs or other shows, bands sometimes just go from one site to the other then move on

On the Reading festival site they have a forum, you try logging in there to see if anyone knows anything but if you're a fan of a particular band, try their own forums, someone always knows something
