  1. I park on the side walk if it has shade and not interfering with people walking. In Houston I have parked on sidewalks at restraints while cops are eating there without a problem. Plus some towns have motorcycle parking only on the side walk. If it is a law, to my knowledge is has never been enforced.

To the person spiting on seats: It is only a matter of time before

your lips are rip off your face and placed some place else.

  2. yes you can get ticketed for illegally parking

  3. Bugs the h**l out of me! They should get a ticket or even get the bike removed. I believe they simply have a need to be noticed.

  4. It is illegal and yes you can get ticketed.....your bike can also be towed away and impounded.

Some redneck cagers have the attitude that it's OK to crash into a bike with the thinking, "Sorry about that, but you shouldn't have left your bike there in the first place."

  5. I'll park it on the sidewalk if I can find an out of the way place, but not where people have to walk around it. Usually in strip malls there is plenty of wide sidewalk that no one ever steps foot on.  I actually had a restaurant owner ask me to park on the walk to free up space for cars in front of his store.

  6. After you get your bike knocked over a few times by stupid drivers, you want to protect it.

and yes it is illegal is most cities.  It seems blind people hit them and knock them over

  7. Sometimes the sidewalk is the only place that is cement & not soft asphalt.  In the heat kickstands sink into asphalt.

  8. The cops in my town are on fuel restriction so they do whatever they can to look good. Illegal parking tickets are up and the tow trucks are busy. DO NOT park on the sidewalks here or in a place stripped with lines indicating a no parking area. You WILL be ticketed!

  9. So some idiot in a car doesn't knock it over!

Believe me,  some people are so blind or not paying attention that they will drive forwared of back into a parking space where a motorcycle is parked hitting and knocking down the motorcycle and if you are lucky they may actually stay to confess instead of a hit and run.

Doesn't take much for some soccer-mom talking on her cell phone while backing up her SUV in a parking lot to make a very day for some motorcycle owner.

Some businesses are cool with motorcyclists parking up on the sidewalk, others may put a sign where it says "No motorcycle parking" which could result in getting a ticket.

I even seen motorcycles parked on the sidewalk right under "No motorcycle parking" signs on an everyday basis and they never get ticketed, but I think this may be due to that the owners of these motorcycles work at the place of business and are given special priviledges.

  10. I live in phoenix az right now the average temps are around 110 degrees your kickstand will sink into the asphalt and your bike will tip over so most of us park on the sidewalk to avoid this.in other places people park on the sidewalk so people dont hit their bike while parking their cars. and if I caught you spitting on my seat I would beat you down so bad your mama wouldnt recognize you punk!!!!!!
