Question:

Sidney vs Alex or Who's going to win the Stanley Cup, which dead horse question is more annoying?

With the Stanley "Dead Horse" Cup question, I can at least see where at certain times of the year it would be ok to ask this question.

But is it too much to lay off the Sidney vs Alex related questions until both players have finished their careers? So much can happen in the next 10-15+ years that who knows for sure who will be the better of the 2 if the absolute best of them all!!!

It could be that we see some other hockey players down the road that could be much much better than Sidney and Alex!! After all there were alot of people who thought that there would be never another Gretzky or Mario L again and look at what we have now??? Sidney and Alex!!!

For right now, both Sidney and Alex are great to watch and having a meaningless debate about these 2 players at anytime make it very hard to watch either of these 2 play whether it is against each other or not.

What dead horse question do you find the most annoying?

  1. The Crosby versus Ovechkin ones. And that includes all the stupid low lives who call Crosby a whiner, an awful player or anything like that. They're clueless and it's old. Shut up now, we don't care.

Who will win the Cup is at least a legit question, just asked way too much.

Jacoby: Really? I predicted Pens versus red wings a month or so into the season... And at the start of the playoffs, and when the finals started I said either team in 6.

  2. The Crosby vs. Ovechkin questions are more annoying. Last year Ovechkin was better, the year before it was Crosby. We won't know who is actually better for another 15-20 years.

  3. Both are equally annoying, but I'd have to say the Sidney vs. Alex questions. They hit home with me. But the most obnoxious ones are the random ones that Yahoo! keeps dumping on us. Enough already!

  4. Right now I'd take the large number of both over the AT&T c**p and other non hockey c**p

I say Who'll win the Cup although at different times I can answer differently

For instance at the beginning of last yr I could use a "homer" answer my Sabres

At mid-season I culd go w/the upstart Wild

At the start of the playoffs I said Anaheim

After Rd 1 I said New York

After the confrence championships I said Pittsburgh

Turns out I was wrong all 6 times.

    Sid vs. Alex

  5. i like both cause ovechkin is on my team and ever teamis gonna stick up for they players. and i like talking bout the stanley cause i think the caps have a chance

  6. Sundin. That is more of the annoyance question for me. Out of the options before me though, are the non hockey questions. If one more time, I have to sit through 2 pages worth of east indian, non english, stupid as$ questions regarding a school, hair, or pay scales, I swear I will burst. ( I am most for certain not being racist, but that is 98% of the non hockey questions) The other 2% are At&t. I swear, I will NEVER be a customer of At&t after this yahoo answers fiasco.

  7. I hear you. Ask me at the beginning of next June and I will have a good idea of who I favor (every year the defending champ deserves to be the preseason favorite) so just to beat on the horse a little longer I will say the Red Wings will win the Cup.

As for the "Who's better" argument....at this point while both are very exciting and fun to watch neither has earned even to be mentioned as the best player in the league right now....I am going to have to say that Brodeur is the best in the game at the moment. He has established greatness over a long career so at the moment Sid and Alex should carry his bag and be happy to get such an honor. And like you mention they have a long way to go to be mentioned with the likes of 99 & 66.

Get back with me in 10 years and we can debate how these 2 stack up with legends of the past, until then I will just enjoy how good they are and wait for the next budding superstar (Stamkos?...maybe even Malkin?)... wouldnt that be ironic.

  8. AT&T questions sends the dead horse to h**l...and then Satan (the actual devil, not the player) spits him back up because he's sick of it too.

  9. "Who will win the Cup?" gets my vote.
