Ajax Amsterdam midfielder-c*m-striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Siem-de-Jong-c33482, has expressed confidence ahead of his side’s upcoming UEFA Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday, November 21.
The 23-year-old has insisted that his side has thus far performed brilliantly in their Europe’s most prestigious club competition campaign apart from their 1-4 defeat at the hands of Real Madrid.
“The match against Real Madrid was the only one where we really struggled, but they are one of the best teams in the world. We collected four points against Manchester City. We also got some chances away against Borussia Dortmund. It confirms that we are
a team to be reckoned with in this group, though”, De Jong was quoted as saying in an exclusive interview to goal.com.
De Joden are currently sitting third in the Group D, four points behind the leaders, Die Borussen, and the Dutch midfielder has stressed that his side can make progression to the knockout stages if they manage to achieve a good result in their upcoming Champions

The Amsterdammers commenced their Europe’s primary club competition campaign with a disappointing 1-0 defeat at the hands of the Borussians before suffering a demoralising 1-4 loss against Los Blancos.
However, the Eredivisie powerhouse performed brilliantly against Manchester City both at home and on the road, and managed to bag four points with a 3-1 win and a 2-2 stalemate.
“We got our chances in the away game against Dortmund, too. We play at home now, and will have to play our own game this time around. Dortmund are a very strong collective. They always try and attack, but that means we will get chances as well”, De Jong
concluded.
