Siem de Jong: It’s okay for me to stay a few years at Ajax Amsterdam – Dutch Eredivisie news
Ajax Amsterdam’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Siem-de-Jong-c33482 has revealed that it is good for him to stay at Amsterdam Arena for the next few seasons. The 22-year-old recently signed an extension to his contract and would be with the Amsterdam giants until the summer 2015.
The attacking midfielder is a product of the Amsterdammers renowned youth academy and started his professional career at Amsterdam Arena in the 2007/08 season. The promising youngster has so far netted 25 goals in 86 matches for the Amsterdam giants and
is looking for more success in the seasons to come.

The Dutch International revealed that he is young and it is better to stay with his parent club to further develop his skills.
“I am only 22 years at present. It’s okay for me if I stay a few years at Ajax. Last season, I was a part of the first team for the first time in my career. It would be foolish to make a move away at this point of my career”, De Jong said while talking to
the journalists.
After Frank de Boer took over the managerial hot seat at Amsterdam Arena from Martin Jol in December 2010, the 22-year-old’s role on the field was changed as De Boer moved him to a more central attacking position. Furthermore, in the absence of Mounir El
Hamdaoui, the youngster also played as a striker towards the end of the 2010/11 campaign.
